Christmas 2014

December 26, 2014

Our Christmas celebration was very simple and exclusive.  It has been like this for the past 2 years since our whole family situation went kaput and my Mom passed away.  DO NOT get me wrong, this ain’t a melodramatic blog post and also, I am not all that sad with the set up.  Our Noche Buena may not have been as extravagant as others, BUT the past 2 years (of Noche Buena) have probably been the best family bonding we ever had.

We had a simple dinner which WE DID NOT COOK. Haha! I know.  Since everybody had their own thing to do before the Noche Buena, we had it cooked by a caterer my Aunt knows.   The best part was almost all my favorite were served that night!

Ultimate Favorites: Shrimp w/ Lemon Butter Sauce and Sushi!!!
Roasted Chicken with Baby Potatoes and String Beans
Clubhouse Sandwich
After dinner, we all gathered in the living room for a Carpio Crime Family tradition: VIDEOKE!

I think the photographer was drunk, Sorry. :P
This Christmas was yet one of the simplest we've had.  It’s really hard to have a family celebration knowing we are not complete, BUT we are forever grateful for all the blessings we have received.

How about you guys? How was your Noche Buena?
