If you have been in the (Philippine) blogosphere for sometime, you would know that Blogapalooza is the country's first and biggest Business-To-Blogger event. It happens yearly and this year, I got to experience it for the first time.
When I started blogging (rougly 2 years ago) Blogapalooza was already "the" event for bloggers. Being the pioneer in bridging the gap between businesses and bloggers, it has already established a very good name and foundation in the blogging world.
As a neophyte blogger, I have always wanted to go to one of their events, but lack of self confidence and free time always wins. For almost 2 years now, I just sat back and waited for other bloggers to share their experiences and how much Blogapalooza has opened doors for them.
This year, (together with my bestfriend, Rai) I finally had the courage to hit that sign up button! And last May 21, 2016 was my first ever Blogapalooza event.
Since it was my first ever, I wasn't exactly sure what to expect or at least bring. Thanks to Louischelle's post, I was able to prepare a few things before the event day. I arrived at the venue after lunch ( I know, I know... Why the hell was I late?) and trust me, I wasn't happy about it. Most of the activities and talks were already done when I got there, but nevertheless I made the most out of my stay there.
There wasn't much of a line when I got there, so that was a good thing. The registration process care of TAG77 was a breeze and in less than 2 minutes, I already got my event ID and Blogapalooza loot bag! When I got in, the first thing I noticed is that the floor layout of the venue was neatly and strategically organized. Having the stage in the middle surrounded by the brands made it so much easier for the bloggers to multi task and make the most of their time in the event. We were actually able to listen to some of the talks while we were waiting in line in some of the booths.
I was not able to witness the morning talks, but I arrived during this talk where Erika Padilla and Mikael Daez were a part of. I love Erika Padilla's confidence, A LOT. The way she talks is very convincing and bordering inspiring-informative.
I was told that this year there are fewer brands present compared to those in the previous events. It might sound and look like a downside, but for me (as a relatively new blogger) I think it's an upside because you get to interact with brands at a "more" personal level because you're not pressured to finish and check out a lot of other brands.
Here are some of the brands present at the event:
Arla gave out a bottle of their cream cheese to bloggers who registered and visited their booth. I tried it out the next day with pancakes and they were awesome! Maybe I'll share how I used it with pancakes in another post, what do you think?
Thanks, Cocio! |
Rai and I tried out Victoria Court's puzzle challenge and it was quite hard because I am not a fan of puzzles which are made up of realistic pictures. The details are meh. Hihi, :P It was fun though and they also gave us free VIP cards.
I wasn't able to take photos of all the brands since I Rai and I were just really enjoying doing some of the activities and talking to different brands, but here's a photo summary of all the brands we got to interact with:
The bestfriend and I also took some time out of the event venue to take photos of us :)
And I also managed to do a quick OOTD shot hihi :D

And that's about it! Blogapalooza has been a wonderful experience for me. Being asked "what do you blog about?" or "do you have a card?" by brands was really an "omg i'am a legit blogger" moment for me. Haha! I know, such a noob, but kidding aside, this event has indeed opened doors for me. More importantly, I also learned a lot about B2B relations which I believe is essential to any blogger who really wants to up their game. I am definitely looking forward to the next one.
Thank you for the experience and congratulations for a successful event, Blogapalooza!
Till next time! :)

I wish I bumped into you at the event Alex! I'm happy you finally joined. It may feel jittery at first, something I experienced myself during my first Blogapalooza, but it is a whole lot of fun! Are you coming to the next one? I've heard they're brewing something up for November.
