Tony Moly Snail Foot Mask

May 29, 2015

Out of the whole April BDJ Box, this Tony Moly Foot Mask was one of the products I wanted to try the most.  I've been gaining weight like crazy since the pregnancy and it's been a challenge walking around with all that weight in front of you.  I feel as if my foot's been tortured enough (that's without the manas yet)

One relaxing weekend, after a cold bath, I tried the Tony Moly Snail Foot Mask.

The Snail (Slime) Skin Care technology became a fad that started in Korea and eventually spread-out globally. According to research it started with ancient Greeks and Chilean farmers who noticed that their hands became softer after touching the secretion of this slow garden creature.  After years of research and experimentation, snail slime has found its way crawling to face creams, soaps, lotions and now, specialized DIY treatments for our feet.

When it’s your first time to use something, you'd naturally rely on the instructions that comes with the packaging.  In this case, I obviously cannot understand what's written and was too lazy to look it up in the internet, but you can pretty much figure it out using the illustrations.

  1. Wash your feet
  2. Tear the packaging, tear the plastic socks
  3. Put one on each foot, let it stay for 20mins.
  4. Voila! Better looking feet!

My feet before the foot mask treatment.  Sorry for the bad photo quality, but basically my feet became dry and a bit flaky on the heel part and obviously, I haven't had a mani-pedi in a very long time.

The package consists of 2 large foot sock like plastic material.  I think it would fit up to sizes 10-12.

I placed one on each foot and since my feet are really small, I had to roll the opening to keep it place.

And after supposedly 20 mins. (It was about 45mins - an hour because I slept on it :/) I removed the plastic socks and my feet were left with this slimy gel that I did not rinse, I just left it to dry.  After, I must say that my feet were well moisturized! That dry skin on my heel is gone and they're softer!

I'd highly recommend this as a quick remedy to ugly and dry looking feet.  This is most advisable for those without time and luxury to go to a nail and spa salon.

How about you, have you tried this? What did you think of it?
