Bye 2014, Hello 2015!

Now that 2014 is nearing it’s end, a lot of people are
cramming to prepare for the new year. As
for (amateur) bloggers, we are now supposed to do the mandatory new year/reflect back/new life post. I was trying hard to come up of a topic and
suddenly I found myself typing on Google: Top 10 New Year Questions.
Christmas 2014

Our Christmas celebration was very simple and
exclusive. It has been like this for the
past 2 years since our whole family situation went kaput and my Mom passed
away. DO NOT get me wrong, this ain’t a
melodramatic blog post and also, I am not all that sad with the set up. Our Noche Buena may not have been as
extravagant as others, BUT the past 2 years (of Noche Buena) have probably been
the best family bonding we ever had.
Koizora (Sky of Love) is a love story between main characters, Hiro & Mika. A typical teenage/highschool love story where boy meets girl, boy courts girl, girl falls for boy (vice versa) and the whole whirlwind of romance and heartbreaks begin. Typical? Not really. The story line might be over used and predictable, however there are aspects of the movie that just showed the reality that there is today with teenagers or maybe even life, in general.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

This year, given the problems my family and myself is going through, I didn't want a grand celebration which is what I usually do. I just wanted to gather my favorite people and celebrate with them and only them. :)

DISCLAIMER: Do not judge. Haha!
I'm not much of a fan of watching pinoy movies in the big screen (not that I don't support it, but I think most of you will agree that most good and quality pinoy movies are not the ones played in large cinemas), but for this (and Daniel P) I made an exception. :P

My Friday morning ritual consists of opening my laptop, launching my outlook email and then checking my facebook news feed as my inbox receives all the emails I'll have to read before the weekend starts. I came across something that really caught my attention and commenting to it wasn't enough for me. So, I decided to blog about it.
I am no big time or famous blogger, but every entry I do, I try to make sure I've researched all my facts. If I'm not so sure, I try and put it in a manner that says I am not confirming the detail, but simply sharing or maybe even asking.
So, moving back to the reason for this entry:
I guess it's self explanatory why this caught my attention.

Writing this down, while lying in the sofa with so much baggage in my heart & mind.
I've never had the energy to write about my feelings in a very long time. Apart from the fact that I really do not have the talent to write, I also do not have the courage to write about my life since I turned 23. I used to keep diaries/journals since I was 12 and kept writing till I was about 18. I still tried sharing my life/thoughts/feelings in multiply, xanga & tumblr till I was 23. On my 23rd year on earth, it stopped. Facebook boomed, and mostly it was just status rants due to (mostly) self-inflicted pain.
Looking back, I ask myself, what happened when I was 23? When I was 23, I lost the one person who actually loved the real me and treated me like a real princess. When I couldn't get him back, I started entrusting all my decisions to alcohol and my so-called friends, losing myself in the process. I started flirting around thinking that it would be the best way to get over the whole painful part of moving on. I actually got almost every guy I wanted at the palm of my hands (this is not being arrogant - it's just easier when you don't let emotions get in the way... emotions scares most of them), but none of them treated me like a princess. None of them took the time to actually get to know me. None of them touched my heart the way he-who-got-away did. I jumped from one "relationship" to another not realizing it was slowly destroying the real me.
Honesty is STILL the BEST Policy

The first Monday of 2014 didn't work out well as planned. :| I still woke up late and naturally was late again for work. BOOHOO, Alex. :( Anyway, I wouldn't want to blog about being late on the first working day of my 2014, right?
So, during my cab ride to work with the brother, I scanned on my facebook feed to find something sensible to blog about. Suddenly the taxi driver called my attention and told me to look at his taxi meter. He said "Ma'am nagalaw ko po yung metro bumilis masyado yung patak, bawasan niyo na lang po ah". I was still a bit sleepy so i just said "OK". A minute after, I realized how honest and good this driver is. It was so ironic because last month, I hated a very very rude taxi driver (I even submitted a report about that taxi driver on www.taxikick.com) for refusing to board me and my brother and today, I meet this one in a million type of cab driver. :)
